In this post you will know how sundar pichai become CEO of Google. He holds an MS from Stanford University in Material Sciences and Engineering and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Although his parents were a major driving force behind him going abroad, they sacrificed a lot but that paid off well I guess .
After MBA, he had a short career in consultancy before getting his: an interview at Google in 2004. It fell on April 1, the same day the internet giant launched Gmail and Pichai thought it was a joke. That faux pas didn't harm his long-term chances and he worked his way up the ranks in a small team working on the Google Search tool bar.
Then, in a move which propelled him into the spotlight, he managed to convince then CEO Eric Schmidt to create its own web browser, which we now know as Chrome. It was Pichai's defining moment: Since its launch in 2008, Chrome has become the world's dominant browser and Pichai was tasked with overseeing apps like Gmail. He later became head of Android, Google's mobile-phone operating system.

Pichai was in the running for the post of CEO at Microsoft, before Satya Nadella was announced as its CEO. Before, this Pichai had the chance to leave Google in 2011, and lead the team working on products at Twitter. Google paid him $50 million in stocks to retain him. He worked at McKinsey….Consulting to Product Management is pretty common among MBA folks….
Finally he was selected as CEO by Larry Page and Sergey Brin after themselves taking over the reigns of newly constituted parent company Alphabet Inc.He joined Google as a PM and then eventually grew into the current role. What a great position to be in for a guy with such humble beginnings.
