Cloud Computing tutorial for Beginners:
Definition:
Cloud Computing is simply the act of utilizing a network.Usually a Internet,to store information that you want to access from multiple network devices.By using "The CLOUD"you can get any of your uploaded information anywhere you have access to the Internet.
Why do we need Cloud Computing?
Cloud Computing makes computer infrastructure and services available "on-need" basis.
Here computer infrastructure means including hard disk,database,computing power or
software applications.To access these resources from the cloud vendors,organizations do not need any large scale expenditure.Organization need to pay only as much for the computing infrastructure as they use.
Cloud Service include the delivery of the software,infrastructure and storage over the Internet based on user demand.
The Computing Cloud is allow the user to avail of various services without investing in the underlying architecture.
Benefits or Advantages of Cloud Computing:
Clouds can provide Users with number of benefits some of them are as fallows:
Many businesses large or small use cloud computing today either directly or indirectly
Directly using organizations are Google and Amazon and indirectly using Twitter.
So, there are number of reasons why cloud computing used among business today
Up to date Software:
A cloud provider will also be able to upgrade software keeping in mind feedback from previous releases
Universal Access:
Cloud computing can allow remotely located employees to access applications and work with via Internet
Reduction of Cost:
Unlike ob-site hosting the price of deploying applications in the cloud can be less due to
lower hardware costs from more effective use of physical resources
Choice of Applications:
This allows flexibility for cloud users to experiment and choose the best option for their needs
Flexibility:
Cloud Computing allows user to switch applications easily and rapidly, using one that suits their need best
Types of Cloud Computing:
Clouds can be both private and public.
Public Clouds sell their services to anyone on the Internet. Example (Amazon Web services)
Private Clouds, on the other hand, networks or data centers that supply hosted services to a selected number of people. Ex. ( within a single company)
Note:
Whether it is private or public , the aim of Cloud Computing to provide easy access to computing resources and IT Services.
Clouds are classified according to the different services they offer:
Infrastructure-as-a-Service(IaaS):
IaaS often employs visualization so users can create their own "Virtual Computer". This means they can specify applications,software and Operating System they want to deploy on the Cloud. "Advantages are that Users do not need to worry about purchasing and running their own hardware but disadvantage include that it can be difficult to package up and run a computer remotely".
Platform-as-a-Service(PaaS):
Developing applications that use web-based tools, so they run a software environment that is platform provided by another company.
Software-as-a-Service(SaaS):
Using a complete application running on someone else's System. Web-based emails and Customer Service Management System are examples of SaaS.
